We are now looking for HEAD OF NEW ANCILLARY PRODUCTS
to innovate and deliver ancillary business growth together with our team.
Ancillary team is responsible for ancillary business and ancillary product portfolio development and management. Ancillary products enable customers to tailor their travel experiences and is of strategic importance to Finnair. Finnair ancillary revenue totaled to 145 MEUR in 2017. Currently the biggest ancillary categories include seat and upgrade products, baggage and retail. Significant part of ancillary revenue is generated through Finnair digital channels.
As Head of New Ancillary Products, you'll be responsible for ancillary growth strategy and business development. You'll innovate and analyze service & product opportunities that matter most for our customers and business-wise, and transfer them into business or investment cases. You will also develop products and prepare their launch, mastering what it takes to make sustainable growth business of an idea. Head of Ancillary Development works in close collaboration with the whole Ancillary team and other Finnair stakeholders, such as customer service, digital development and IT and sales and marketing. Finnair customers and selected partners are your key co-creators.
Your work includes analysis and benchmarking, co-creation with various stakeholders, ancillary strategy definition, ancillary business opportunities assessment and product development from idea to launch and mature product. Your work is true team work together with ambitious people.
To succeed as our Head of New Ancillary Products, it is essential that you'll have
- innovative & commercial mindset and business case competences
- drive & skills for understanding consumer needs and solving problems in within customer journey
- track record in successful business and/or product strategy process
- experience from product or service development
- project management skills & tools, agile approach
- experience in service design and co-creation with customers also in digital environment
- excellent collaboration, presentation & negotiation skills
This position requires minimum of seven years of experience in equivalent role and an academic degree. Head of New Ancillary Products will report to Tiina Tissari, Vice President Ancillary business.
